Job Purpose

As a Furnished Quarters Technology team member, the Salesforce Administrator supports the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our Salesforce platform and its integrated applications. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Client Services to streamline workflows, reduce technical debt, and ensure platform scalability. Salesforce Administrators operate within a rotating pod structure, each aligned to specific departments. Admins develop subject matter expertise in their assigned pods, acting as the primary liaison between business teams and the Technology department. Pod rotations occur annually, and Administrators collaborate to maintain platform consistency and coordinate similar initiatives across pods.

Essential Functions

Salesforce Administration and Pod Support

  • Collaborate with department stakeholders to design and support pod-specific Salesforce roadmaps in alignment with company-wide initiatives.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between assigned departments and the Technology team, learning workflows, SOPs, and operational processes to inform platform improvements.

  • Manage and resolve Salesforce requests within the assigned pod, ranging from quick configuration updates to more complex functional builds.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for technical processes, data structures, automations, and user guides.

  • Participate in quarterly audits of user permissions, data quality, and automation logic to ensure system integrity and compliance.

  • Support user onboarding, training, and communications related to platform updates and feature enhancements.

Configuration, Optimization, and Technical Maintenance

  • Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, validation rules, flows, and other automations to meet evolving business needs.

  • Evaluate, streamline, and clean up legacy workflows, validation rules, and automations to reduce technical debt.

  • Participate in cross-admin collaboration to align development standards, naming conventions, and platform-wide consistency.

  • Design, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to support timely business decision-making.

Data and Analytics Support

  • Support Power BI data quality initiatives by ensuring Salesforce fields and structures align with clean reporting standards.

  • Bring experience with Power BI or demonstrate a strong willingness to learn in support of analytics and reporting initiatives.

  • Submit one-on-one self-evaluations by designated deadlines to support ongoing development and performance tracking.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Salesforce Administrator certification required; additional Salesforce certifications (e.g., Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder) are a plus.

  • 2–4 years of hands-on Salesforce Administration experience in complex, custom environments.

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform configuration, including Flows, Process Builder, validation rules, custom objects, and permission sets.

  • Experience managing system improvements, troubleshooting issues, and addressing technical debt in a live Salesforce environment.

  • Basic proficiency in Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC) is preferred; ability to collaborate with developers when advanced customization is required.

  • Experience with Power BI or a demonstrated willingness to learn and support business analytics initiatives.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to understand business workflows and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interface confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects across departments and timelines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
