The Opportunity
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. In this role, you’ll support our Global Solutions Market through accurate accounting, vendor management, and reporting. You’ll ensure invoices, payments, and reconciliations are completed efficiently and precisely - helping maintain the financial integrity that powers our global housing network.

This position is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys building efficient systems and processes.

What You’ll Do

Invoice Verification & Processing

  • Verify and process all invoices for payment.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
  • Allocate invoices to correct General Ledger codes and post to the ledger.
  • Maintain organized and current invoice files.

Vendor Management

  • Communicate with vendors to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Prepare and distribute remittance information with checks.
  • Process rent and utility payments via ACH, wire, or check.
  • Create and maintain vendor profiles; merge duplicates and track 1099 eligibility.
  • Maintain accurate billing details in Salesforce.

Financial Record Management

  • Review and process rent payments, leases, and security deposits.
  • Audit global utility invoices and process payments.
  • Monitor weekly aging reports and ensure vendors are current.

Account Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Research and resolve account variances.
  • Reconcile credit card, ACH, and wire payments to invoices.
  • Review lease agreements for correct cost codes and accounting terms.
  • Audit lease postings for accuracy.

Customer Service & Administrative Support

  • Collaborate with Sales, Accounting, and Global Leasing teams on payments and records.
  • Answer inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Assist team members with departmental projects as needed.
  • Represent Furnished Quarters’ core values in all guest, vendor, and team interactions.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Hospitality, or a related business field (required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting systems such as Oscar and Salesforce
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
