Your Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of our sales strategy, working to exceed sales revenue, occupancy, and RevPAR targets. You will lead high-level negotiations, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and significantly contribute to our market presence.

What You’ll Do:

Strategic Sales Leadership:

  • Champion Furnished Quarters’ core values, mission, and vision, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Monitor market trends and adapt strategies to capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Lead high-level negotiations to close deals and achieve personal revenue goals.
  • Present detailed annual business plans to leadership, outlining strategic initiatives and sales targets.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Coordinators to align sales strategies.

Business Development Activities:

  • Engage in 100 new business development activities monthly, including calls, Zoom meetings, LinkedIn messages, and emails.
  • Participate in at least one monthly industry event.
  • Schedule and attend at least five client appointments monthly.
  • Develop at least two new accounts per month, achieving six new accounts per quarter and at least 24 per year.
  • Log all sales activities in Salesforce for accurate and comprehensive record-keeping.
  • Ensure all sales pipelines are entered and updated monthly in Salesforce.

Revenue Growth and Account Management:

  • Conduct strategic quarterly reviews with clients to leverage feedback and enhance service offerings.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline to ensure steady revenue flow.
  • Strengthen relationships with assigned accounts through regular engagement and excellent service.
  • Drive revenue through creative sales proposals and effective negotiations.
  • Utilize Furnished Quarters' CRM system to manage client interactions and enhance relationship management.

Industry Engagement and Market Presence:

  • Represent Furnished Quarters at trade shows, conventions, and promotional events.
  • Travel as necessary to meet business goals and client needs.
  • Organize and execute RFP-related materials and meetings.
  • Participate in trade shows, conventions, and promotional events to enhance brand visibility and forge new business relationships.

Professional Development and Compliance:

  • Complete all assigned HR compliance-related training.
  • Actively participate in one-on-one reviews and self-assessments.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay ahead in the industry.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

You will be evaluated on your ability to meet or exceed established KPI metrics, demonstrating a strategic approach and commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. Achieve an overall monthly calculated score of 85% or higher across six critical areas:

  1. New Business Development Sales Activities
  2. Industry Event Participation
  3. Client Appointments
  4. New Account Development
  5. Activity Logging/Pipelines & Projects
  6. Revenue Goal Achievement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in outside sales within the corporate housing or hotel industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals in an outside sales environment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage projects with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and trade shows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Oscar and Salesforce.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
